Moving Between Lines or Machines

Reuse a standard recipe across machines, with on-site calibration for execution

When the same product moves to another line or machine, the site must address differences in equipment and its actual configuration. Preparing and adjusting processing data from scratch each time adds to the staff's workload.

Does this situation sound familiar?

MachinePilot creates the product's standard recipe offline and hands it off to a target machine that supports it. Each machine uses its own calibration, actual configuration, and vision compensation to convert the standard recipe into one suitable for local processing.

How MachinePilot helps

MachinePilot handles offline planning and standard recipe generation. After handoff, the physical machine combines factory calibration, pre-processing configuration calibration, and vision compensation to convert the standard recipe into an executable recipe, followed by on-site confirmation and production.

  1. MachinePilot plans offline and generates a standard recipe

  2. Hand off to a target machine supporting the recipe

  3. The machine applies equipment/configuration calibration and vision compensation

  4. Convert to an executable recipe; produce after on-site confirmation

MachinePilot generates a standard recipe and hands it to the machine. Factory calibration, pre-processing configuration calibration, and vision compensation produce a recipe for each machine. Enlarge workflow illustration ↗

Expected benefits

Carry offline preparation forward with a standard recipe, while machine-side calibration and compensation address physical differences. This reduces repeated preparation and adjustment work. Site staff remain responsible for configuration, confirmation, and process judgment; the solution supports their work rather than replacing them.

What to prepare

Prepare product, equipment, and accessory data, and confirm which standard recipe the target machine supports. Complete machine calibration before factory delivery and actual-configuration calibration before processing.

Conditions and on-site handoff

Calibration and vision compensation are handled by the physical machine. Files are handed off through the customer's chosen method; this is not built-in direct transfer from MachinePilot to control software. Vision compensation does not replace on-site checks of vision parameters, machining parameters, or process requirements.
